DG-ISPR Ghafoor has now defended an item song in a film that has bombed at the box office. His tweet defending the item number has gone viral as Pakistanis criticised him and the Army establishment for wasting public money on films and concerts. All in the name of Kashmir and defence of Pakistan.

The latest controversy is about the film Kaaf Kangana. The film, an ISPR project, received a very cold response from cinema-goers. Many criticised actor Neelam Muneer for agreeing to an item number in the film. The lyrics of the song are a poor attempt to malign India. She is shown dancing surrounded by salivating men with alcohol splashing all around. The lyrics of the song enraged several sections of Twitter and Neelum ended up being trolled.

She defended herself by saying she wouldn't take up a bit role like that but then she did it because it was an ISPR project. Basically, she said she did it for the country.
